SLJ Week 1 Activty 6

LI: To create a optical illusion

Today this activity was to create our own optical illusion and optical illusion is a picture that is something that tricks our brain and something that cannot be seen by the naked eye. This challenge wanted us to create or own optical illusion with paper and pencil or creating digital illusion. I created my illusion digitally on a google draw. my illusion has columns of black and white squares that go horizontal and are not alinged corectly.

Wow your illusion is awesome! I had to double check because I was so certain the lines were not straight. What a cool trick!

I think it was a wise decision to draw this digitally as I think it would be more difficult with a pencil and paper! Was it challenging to create in Google Draw?

Did you enjoy making this? I think the Illusion challenge may be my favourite to comment on - they all so interesting!

Looking forward to seeing more of your excellent work, Juel!

    Nga mihi,

    1. Hello Charlotte,

Thank you for commenting on my blog I really appreciate it and am very thankful. Yes, I did enjoy doing this activity I found it really fun to do and enjoyed it a lot.

Have you ever tried digital art before. If yes, what did you draw. If no, would you consider trying it?

    2. Kia ora Juel,

You are so welcome. I'm so glad you enjoyed the activity!

I have tried digital art before, but not for a long time! In high school I remember using Photoshop to create an album cover. That was really fun but very difficult! I don't think I have done much since then!

  2. Kia ora Juel,

Your illusion looks amazing! I can't believe that the lines are straight. They looks slanted and they tricked my eyes so badly that I had to double check. Good job for drawing it on a google draw as the illusion might not be that effective if you had drawn it on paper. I also like that you have added "how it works" in your google draw because it would be very helpful for a reader who is new to the topic. Do you like a specific optical illusion? If yes, can you tell which one and who is the artist of that illusion?

Good job! Keep up the fabulous work.
