Cyber-smart Ready for learning

Today for this cyber-smart task this was a lock down special cyber-smart task that we did to be ready if we would go back into lock down so that we would be prepared and have everything ready. For this task I put the links to my school site, Class site, Class blog, and my own blog. this is so that we were ready for if we go into lock down so that the links would be there for us. 

I enjoyed this task becuase it was helping us be ready and helped us be prepared so that we are ready if we go into lock down and have to do online school. 

Cyber-smart Keyboard Shortcuts

For the second cyber-smart activity I learn about the keyboard shortcuts and controls. These shortcuts are used to make the Chromebook easier to use so that we can get things done a lot easier and faster for this task I had to answer the questions that ask what the control is for how to lock your screen, minimize, ect. and then also add for tips and tricks on the DLO for people to learn from. I really enjoyed completing this task becuase I learnt a lot of new things about my keyboard that can help me do things a lot easier.

Cyber-smart Kawa of care

 LI: Be cybersmart and use your devices to learn, create and share.

Today for Cybers-smart we were given 3 cyber-smart activities for this activity I had to fill in the blanks and learn about the Kawa of care document and insert a photo for the responsible use agreement. While filling in the blanks  I aslo learnt about how to look after my chrome book properly and got to understand how to keep it safe and make sure the it does not get damaged. One thing I found interesting to learn about was that the lid should be closed when passing a Chromebook and that we should be only holding one at a time and should be using two hands to carry it. 

I really enjoyed this task becuase it was fun to learn about how to keep the safe and it was fun to learn about it in a fun way. 

LEGAL and ILLEGAL

LI  to understand what legal and illegal images
for cyber smart we were learning about legal and illegal images. we had to write the definition of a legal and illegal image on the slide then we had to find three websites that have free photos to use and websites that have illegal images that you cannot use because you have to pay for it to be able to download it.

and then we had to take screenshots of the websites we got the photos from and then circle where it says you can use it and or where you cannot use it.

Organizing

LI: To organize our drive and folders.

We are just cleaning up our drive and sorting out documents and putting them in the right folder. we just had to have the right folders and we also had to organize things by putting them into the right folder.

Informal & Formal Language

LI: to use appropriate register for communicating online.

Informal language is more of a casual speech. Formal language is when you speak with manners. We did a activity we had to write informal and formal speech and we had to make a poster about it we had to write informal speech of how we would ask a question and also do that for formal language.

Cybersmart/Commenting

LI: To write a SMART blog comment.

Today for Cyber-Smart we were learning about how to write smart blog comments. to write a good blog comment you should have a greeting and next you should say something about there blog post that they can to better and next you should have a question like how did they learn what they are learning about and then give them some encouragement like good job, keep op the great work.

Today for cyber smart we had to learn about what we need in a blog post so that we can write quality ones and i wrote about my maths blog post it was about graphs and we had to write one the blogging template what we learnt and what we did or how we did it and also write about what tools we used for this graph.

LI:to to learn how to write a blog post blurb.

This week  we learnt abut how to write a blog post so first we listed what are some bad sentence starters but we needed a subject so the subject was our LS1 CARE awards. here are examples of bad sentence starters

• for cyber smart we did...

And after that we thought of some good sentence starters that we could use when we are writing a blog post here are some examples.

• This week learnt about how to...
• CARE awards are given for...
• In  Cybersmart we learnt how to write blurbs...
• Writing a succinct blurb is important to tell the people what we learnt...

After that we learnt that when we write a blurb we have to write what we learnt, how we learnt, and what you did/used to learn.

Safe Password creation rules

LI: to Create a poster hat explains how to make a safe/secure password

Today for cyber smart I had to make a post about safe pas word creation rules and i had to make rules about how to make a safe password like this the first rule you should know about making a secure password is that the password you make should not be anything about you like a phone number, home address, or a pets name. And you should also know that you should not have the same password for everything then it can be guest very easily and those are some rules that you should know of how to make a safe password.

LI: to learn how to write a good blurb.

Today for cyber smart we had to make a poster that explains what is needed and what is not needed in a blog post  we had to take a screen shot of one of our blurbs from our blog post and then we had to make a text box on the poster that has a list of things that we should have on a poster and then we had to do the same things but we had to write a list of things that are unwanted in a blog post blurb and then we had to hilight the list of things and then we had to find them in our blog posts blurb.

today for cyber smart i had to make a quiz that can help you be safe on the web and so that you can be safe of what you search up ass well.

Smart Media

LI: To learn what smart media is.
This week for cyber smart we were learning about smart media again but this time we completed our slide. So our first task on the slide was creating a word art if you didn't know what is a word art it is basically a drawing created with words so one of the word arts had to describe our family and some of the word art has to describe your self. Then our next task was to put a image of your self that's good for home our school. Then after that task our next one was to play the coco crunch cereal game and explain what is the purpose of buying the cereal. Then our last task was to think of a school media protect and a other media product that you created

Smart Media {Co-Co Crunch}

Today this week for Cybersmart we learnt about smart media and what it is and then we had to play a game and make up our own cereal box on a game and then we had to point out the five gimmicks that were provided on the game and we had to give a short explanation about what they are.

Cyber-Smart (Commenting)

LI: to write a quality comment.

Today for Cyber-Smart we learnt how to write a comment with a greeting like hi hello and a compliment such as I really like your work, your blog post looks really interesting. We also had to make a connections with the authors blog post like I have learnt and done this kind of work before, this blurb has taught me a lot about what you have been learning.

We also had to write a helpful comment such as I think that  you should write in paragraphs, I think that you should give a more descriptive blurb. That will also help the reader to understand the blog post and at the end we could write an encouraging sentence that will encourage the author to write more blog posts.

Cybersmart Word cloud

LI: to identify the purpose of the information presented in media.
In Cyber Smart we were all learning about media means just like we were doing last term. We all got into little groups and watched video such as a movie trailer, advertisement and a news site. We had to do a word cloud about our blog, our own blogs that we have all made. We also wrote words that describe our blog like as in I am brainy

Today for Cyber-smart we had to get into pairs or a group of three i got into a group of three and we all had to find out what media means. we had to go through  different processes to find  out what media means and what different media we consume and we had to write definitions about what media means and we had to write on definitions and then we had to write another one but with more detail.

Today for Cybersmart we had to write the advantages in shopping in person advantages we had to write a title on the pallet and we had to write a small explanation about what some of the advantages of shopping in person.

Today this week we had to get into a group of four and talk about what do you bye, food,clothes,ball and we all thought to yourself what we do but we first had to think shopping by person for a start you can bye a ball from amazon or wish. then after that we have to talk about the online shopping so the websites that we go on and bye like examples clothes were are some clothes websites that you go on like the warehouse site. then after that we had to make a DLO about what are some shopping shops that you wold go to and the online sites

today for cyber smart we are learning how to write  positive, thoughtful, and helpful comments. so what we did was we had to choose one person to comment on there blogs and the teacher can choose the other person then we had to comment on there latest blog post so the people that i commented on are Karlos, Ellanora and Pua. how to make a good comment so we had to first write something positive about there blog post then we have to write something thoughtful, and helpful and then at the end we writ something likes this Keep up the great work.
