Volleyball

LI: To use the skills in volleyball in a game situation.

This was our last volleyball session with coach Elena. We played king of the court and where split up into 4 groups and we used all the skills that we learnt from kiwisport. The skills that we learnt are a Serve, Dig, Set, and Spike. We versed all the other groups. We then had a class match using all the skills we have learnt and practiced. we played elimination if the ball got out then the person is out the only way they can come back into the game is if you pass the ball to our team 3 times. The hardest skill for me is the dig becuase it always hurts my arms.

Kiwi Sport reflection | Cricket

In Kiwi sport Brian from HPPC coached us for cricket. We were split up into 2 team bowling and batting teams. We had to throw the balls and aim to the wickets by putting our foot in the same directions, and when we hit the wickets we had to run to the keeper position, if the ball hits the wickets we then had to put a cone on top of the wicket, If we had all four cones on the wickets we then had to pull them out if the were hit again.

If you were in the batting team then all batters had to hit both of the balls the runners had to grab the both of the balls as soon as the last ball was hit, then the runners have to get both of the balls to the stands, while the batters run from one cone to another. The skills that we learnt while being coached are Batting, Fielding, Bowling, Scoring, Teamwork, and communication.

Something that I found really interesting while playing cricket was trying to bowl and aim at the target.

Kiwi Sport

LI: to learn the forehand and backhand grip technique

We started a new sport it is tennis. and you new coach was called Peter and he told us the horehand and back hand technique. but the first thing we did was get into partners  and we had two tennis balls and we had to drop them and the other persons hand had to face down and then when the balls group they have to catch them in there hands.

and then we all went to an area and grabbed a tennis racket and we had to wait behind the person in front of us and then we had to go in front and then we had to use our right or left hand and we had to then try and hit the ball while the other person throws that balls at you. and then we learnt the different grips and then we had to hit the ball back and forth to the other person.
