Weird And Wonderful

Today I am gonna solve a maths problem but to solve it probably I have to end it with an 'ml'. So here is the maths question. 'Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus?' What I think it should be 1/4 ml.

LI: to to make a quiz about a peaceful activist.
Today for inquiry me and my group had to choose a peaceful activist and we chose Martin Luther King Jr Fun fact: When Martin Luther King Jr was born his name was Michael King but his dad changed it to Martin King hence why Martin Luther King Jr has a jr at the end of his name. and also we had to write about his philosophy that means when someone has different beliefs and we also had to try and see if we can apply it to LS1 and then we could also write about his history and then we could make a quiz about him.

Fabulous Ferns

My favorite team was the Black Ferns because they play rugby and there i really cool team because they support each other and they have the word fern in there name and i think that there team name and uniform is very cool.

Today I had to write about our digital foot prints they are thing that we do to keep safe while on the internet like if we get random emails from people we don’t know ( Strangers ) then we should delete the email or we should not answer the the email. and i had to write small things about how to stay safe when we are on the web.

My hometown

LI: to Describe about my home town.

Today I had to describe about what my hometown is like but first my home town is Auckland City. Auckland is a very nice place to visit and at night on special event the sky tower in new Zealand lights up a different color Auckland there are so many buildings that you can see and there are lots of art galleys, parks, cafes. fast food restaurants, waterways, gardens. it is so nice to be living in Auckland because there are so many things to look at i'm happy to live in Auckland

Today i started on the first activity for the summer learning Journey the task was to find three fun facts about NZ the first fat that i found that i thought sounded really interesting is when Maui pulled up the north island of NZ because it was just a really big fish that became the north island of New Zealand. the second fact that i found really interesting is how Maui's hook wads made it was actually from his grandmother's jaw bone and that was how Maui Pulled up the North is island. and the last and finall fact was about how some people referred the south island to Te waka a Maui or Maui's Canoe.

Commenting

LI: to write a quality comment.


Today for Cyber-Smart we learnt how to write a comment with a greeting like hi hello and a compliment such as I really like your work, your blog post looks really interesting. We also had to make a connections with the authors blog post like I have learnt and done this kind of work before, this blurb has taught me a lot about what you have been learning.


We also had to write a helpful comment such as I think that  you should write in paragraphs, I think that you should give a more descriptive blurb. That will also help the reader to understand the blog post and at the end we could write an encouraging sentence that will encourage the author to write more blog post

Today for Kiwi Can thus was our final week for Kiwi Can so it was fun week but first we had to remember the three different catchphrases that we have learnt over the past week that we have been at kiwi can the first catchphrase was based on respect for our community and then the second catchphrase was based on respect for our school and the third catchphrase was based on respect for our environment.

today i was doing some art this type of art was called steampunk art it is a type of art it's when who draw an animal and combine things like wheels cogs and lots of other thing we had to make our own piece of art the animal that in chose was a dragonfly and then once i have chosen my animal i had to find a template and u could copy it or i could use my imagination and create my own piece of art and the thing that i loved most about doing this art is that i can go wild with my imagination and i could draw whatever i want.

Moari

This week for Maori we listened to five Maori Christmas songs that Mrs Odie played. After listening to the songs Mrs Odie shared us a  DLO to do, the DLO was a google doc with Maori words and the definitions on  the right side and the Maori words, but the first thing we had to do was make a copy of the google doc and copy and paste the Maori words onto the left side of the page next to what you think it is. What we had to do with the Maori words we had to put the Maori words on the left side to the definitions than mean the Maori word.

 After we did that we had to come back and sit down on the ground and Mrs Odie told us all the answers to it and then we had to do a blog post about the DLO that we did. I learnt how to make a copy of the google doc and put the Maori words on the left side in the boxes in belongs in. How I learnt was to put the Maori words on the left and the meanings on the right side and how I learnt was to learn the Maori words and meanings of it.

LI: To understand plot summary
This week for writing we were learning how to understand a conflict from a fiction text or movie. So on Monday we were watching a movie and taking notes on our plot diagram at the same time as watching the movie then on Tuesday we watched the full movie and mange to complete our plot diagram. Then we had to make a copy of the google drawing our teacher sent us and right down two what was the conflict character vs character or character vs nature.  Then after we found out what the conflict was then we had right down how it's that. Then we had to write down how would the story change if the movie happened a different way

Cyber Smart

LI: to learn how to write a good blurb.

Today for cyber smart we had to make a poster that explains what is needed and what is not needed in a blog post  we had to take a screen shot of one of our blurbs from our blog post and then we had to make a text box on the poster that has a list of things that we should have on a poster and then we had to do the same things but we had to write a list of things that are unwanted in a blog post blurb and then we had to hilight the list of things and then we had to find them in our blog posts blurb.   

Kiwi Sport

today for kiwi sport this was our last session for kiwi sport and we learnt some new combos the first one was jab cross then bridge bridge is when you are in rock position and then you move your howl body backwards and then we had to do another bridge but forwards and then do one more cross and then we moved on the our next combo.

then the next combo was jab jab cross left hook roll left hook he had to do two jabs and then do a cross then we had to do a left hook then roll then one more left hook roll is when we have to roll under a noddle stick and we had to do it with a partner so that they can coach us while we do the combo and then we had to do ti faster with our partners.

and then the last combo was we had to to 10 punches and then do a burpie and then after that we have to do 20 burpies and we had to carry on to 30 punches then 40 punches and then 50 50 was the max punches we could do and then we all had to come inside and then do a revision of what we learnt today and then we had to take a group selfie and then we could blog about boxing.

Today for Reading we had to blog about the activity that we have done over the past weeks and we had to blog the google draw that has links to the activitys that are on this slide all the activitys had something do to with the book that i was reading it is about a boy named Cam he likes to go on different adventures and once he thinks that a pond has moved from one place to another and he sees to trees and he goes in between the trees and stars sliding down a gully Then Cam comes to the end of the gully and he sees a huge cliff and he sees a big curtain of vines that have overgrown on the cliff and he sees a big red button and under it it says Do Not Push.


Then when cam comes to his back yard he sees that it is a really big mess and he new that his parents would never leave their yard a big mess and then when he enters his house he sees his mum setting in his kitchen eating ice-cream right out of the tub with her hands Then when cam comes to school he saw lots of cars all over the town and there were some signs that said please littler and the parking sign said to park anywhere and anytime and the the lights did.t say go our stop it just said whatever then when cam goes to school he sees his teacher playing cricket in the car park and then he starts to run home and on his way home he could see people fighting and then he ran to the green lever and then he pulls and then everything goes back to normal.

And the first one I did it was the exposition and for the exposition you had to write what was the settings and who were the character after I done that I did the rising action and the rising action is when the problem nearly gets bigger after i done that i did the climax and the climax is when the problem is very big after I done that i did the falling actions and the falling actions is when the problem is getting fix after I done that I did the resolution and for the resolution is when the story finished after i did my plot diagram i had to do the conflict after i finished the conflict I had to blog it and then put it in the LS1 must do.

Today we had our Maori lesson. We got handed 2 pieces of paper and we had to label it. The labels where food they were panana,Tomato,Aporo,Oaniaporo,Inu aporo,kanga,tihi,tohi,ika,hei,hei,retihi,hua whenua,paraoa,poaka,poua,taupoki,hanawhiti. These lables are food. We labled them on our 2 piece of paper and then we had to color it however we want.

Today for inquiry i had to get into my group that i worked with on Tuesday and i had to explain what is peace all about i had to look at some images that are on the slide and i had to describe what we could see in the image and then we had to write sentence with the words the we choose after that we had to make posters that explain what peace is and then we had to put them on a slide with all of the photos that we had to describe.

Today for reading i had to read a book it was called do not push and i had to do a task that is based on the book so what i had to do was i had to find 10 words that are in the book and i don't understand them and then i had to go and find out about what one of the 10 words mean i had to find 5 words that i don't know and i had to find the meaning of the word as well.

LI: To Learn how to counter attack.
Today for kiwi sport we learnt how to counter attack with Pacs who is our coach she was teaching us what we remembered from last week and we had to get into partners and one person had to have to boxing gloves on and the other person had to hold the noodle so that we can coach our partners that are wearing the gloves and we learnt how to slip and we also had to remember the position that we always have to use when using a combo punch or counter attacking and then we had to swap over with our partners and we had to wear the gloves and wee had to slip and get into rock position.

Exchange

Today for maths we had to learn how to exchange money to make our stack of money thin and he had to make videos of how to exchange 1 dollar notes to exchange for a 10 dollar note but we had to give him 10 1 dollar notes and then we could exchange all of our 1 dollar notes until we had all 10 dollar notes and then he had to do the same thing and but we had to exchange 10 dollar notes for 100 dollar notes.

This week we were learning about Trenches. So our task was to talk about the parts of the trench warfare. So we first started by talking about it to our teacher then we got back into our partners and then we had to watch videos and read stuff off websites once we did that we had to write more information on our text boxes we also had to talk about sickness and how it happened in trenchers. Once we talked about the parts in a trench we had to find a image the we could use and we had to write who it was taken by.

Today for Kiwi sort we had to learn how to block punches but first we had to get into partners and we had to but on some boxing gloves and we had to learn how to go under punches and and we have to learn how to block hits and first we had to put the gloves on and then we had to move from side to side to block our partners punches.

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn how to respect our community.
This week for kiwi can we were talking about respecting our community we first talked about the places in our community and how we can respect our community in different ways. We also talked about making our community a safe environment. We also talked about the things that make our community a bad environment.

Our enigiser for the day was called Tunnel ball. We had to get into a circle and we had to get a ball and that ball will be in the middle of the circle. We have to try get the ball in between the other persons leg but make sure the ball does not come through your leg. We had to use one hand to hit the ball. and Fua  and Charlize were the two winners. 

Our activity was called hand soccer.  We had to get into 2 even groups that had 11 people in each, there were 2 goals. We all had to number ourselves 1 to 11. Mr M

att will pick an amount of numbers. For example he says 3 numbers and the 3 numbers are 6, 7 and 8. So whoever is that number goes to the middle and try to hit the ball in the other teams goal but you need to use 1 hand only.

Today for maths i had to learnt how to tell the time and we had to learn how to tell the different times and then after that we had to make a poster about how to tell the time and then we had to use this website called clock face generator and i had to choose a random time and then i had to make a poster that explains how to tell the random time that i picked and then i could blog about what u learnt today.

Today for Maori i had to get a partner and i had to find different foods and then i had to find the Maori word for that food and then we had to make a poster that explains about the different foods that we had to reaserch about and then we could blog about every thing that we learnt about.

Kiwi Sport Boxing

LI: To learn how respect others while throwing our punches, Learning to not get discipline while not doing the right thing and also Showing safety to our pairs,teacher and the people around us.



Today for kiwi sports LS1 is learning how to box we had to make line and go up the the hall where Pacs was she is our coach  first she told us the 3 commandments of boxing number 1 respect we have to respect our coach and the equipment that we use during boxing 2 rule is discipline and 3rd was safety we all had to follow these 3 commandments at all boxing sessions.

we had to remember what we learnt last week witch was to move around in our rock pose and we also learnt new types of punches but first we had to learn how to move around in our rock pose first we had to get into our rock position and if we wanted to move forward then we would have to jump forward with foot that is at the back and then we also then had to put our foot that is in front of us forward as well and then we learnt how to move backwards as well.

if we wanted to move backwards then we have to use our foot that is in the front of us to jump back and then we had to also move our foot that s at the back of us to move it backwards while still int the rock potion. After that we learnt some new punches as well the first one that we learnt is called the hook we had to get into our rock pose and we had to use our right hand to punch from the side and then we learnt the uper cut punch we had to also use our right hand to punch from the bottom and then make our way up.

Today for Kiwi Can we had to remember what our theme and topic was our theme was respect and our topic was respect for our community first we had our energizer the game was called remote the aim of this game was to listen carefully to Mr. Matt and if he says fast forward then we have to walk very fast and if he says rewind then we have to walk backwards and if he says pause then we have to stop and then jump once.

Manaiakalaini Film Festival

Today we went to the manaiakalanai film festival inside of the cinemas .We saw alot of schools videos that were for the manaiakalani film festival . the schools that me and my class saw were Tamaki Primary , St Patricks , Tamaki College , My school which is Panmure bridge and also stonefields school . My favourite video was my schools video and it was called a bit dicey . It was made to be a bad parody. Today we had to write a comment with a greeting like hi hello and a compliment such as I really like your work, your blog post looks really interesting. We also had to make a connections with the authors blog post like I have learnt and done this kind of work before, this blurb has taught me a lot about what you have been learning.


We also had to write a helpful comment such as I think that  you should write in paragraphs, I think that you should give a more descriptive blurb. That will also help the reader to understand the blog post and at the end we could write an encouraging sentence that will encourage the author to write more blog posts
