Kiwi can

LI: to have respect for your school and follow the rules.

today for kiwi can we had had to try and remember our theme and topic from the 1 week of kiwi can the theme is respect for our school and our topic is respect and we had an energizer it was called center ball and we had to be numbered of from 1-4 and then we had to get into a circle and we have to try and run around the circle and when we get to our spot then we have to try and get the soccer ball that was in the middle of the circle.

and then we have to stop the game and we had to sit back in our 4 lines and we have to get into groups of four and the game that we are playing is called bus stop we have to get in our groups and we have to write that different categorizes and they are boy name girl name food animal and we have to use a random letter and we had to think of a boy name girl name food and animal and write something that starts with that letter.

Commenting

LI: to write a quality comment.


Today for Cyber-Smart we learnt how to write a comment with a greeting like hi hello and a compliment such as I really like your work, your blog post looks really interesting. We also had to make a connections with the authors blog post like I have learnt and done this kind of work before, this blurb has taught me a lot about what you have been learning.


We also had to write a helpful comment such as I think that  you should write in paragraphs, I think that you should give a more descriptive blurb. That will also help the reader to understand the blog post and at the end we could write an encouraging sentence that will encourage the author to write more blog posts.

Smart Media



LI: To learn what smart media is.
This week for cyber smart we were learning about smart media again but this time we completed our slide. So our first task on the slide was creating a word art if you didn't know what is a word art it is basically a drawing created with words so one of the word arts had to describe our family and some of the word art has to describe your self. Then our next task was to put a image of your self that's good for home our school. Then after that task our next one was to play the coco crunch cereal game and explain what is the purpose of buying the cereal. Then our last task was to think of a school media protect and a other media product that you created

L.I to show what we have learnt from Maori.
In Maori we were learning about Parihaka which is in Taranaki and we were also learning about the what had happen around that area. Parihaka is a place in Taranaki and the settlement of the Europeans and the Maori people had the settlement. The settlement was for the Europeans and the Maori to stop fighting over the land.

Keyboarding

For daily 6 we have to do 6 task they are: Basic facts, keyboarding, pixel art, hand writing, basic fact plus and minus and SSR selfie. The one that i am doing is keyboarding. This is a very good way to learn how to write properly. This is also a good way to use all of your fingers to type

Prototec


Today i played prototec it is a game were there are different levels and i did Stage four and did three different Strategy they were Grouping with 10s grouping with in 10s and Doubles/halves to 20.

  If you finish all the equations on the sheet then there will be a button that says mark and it will cheek all of our answers to see if they were write or wrong and then and the end it will come up with your Certificate that explains how good you did and i got 60% on stage for and it also took me 15 minutes and 5s

Author Research

Today for reading i had to make a DLO about the author who wrote the book that i was reading about the book was called Do Not Push it is a very interesting book and i had o write about who is the author and talk about what we does for a living.    






Line Tag

LI: Recap on structure and language features of written texts.

This week for writing we had to make a google Doc. Then we had 40 minutes to write about the game we played after lunch on Tuesday we had to wrte something about line tag and using some of the 5 Ws. Then Mr Ogilvie told us that we have 40 minutes on Writing again. We had to make our second writing better that our first writing

Bundles of ten

LI: to bundle objects into bundles of ten.
LI: to represent numbers in different formats.

Today for Maths we had to group or bundle different maths materials into different numbers we had to use Counters, a Slavonic Abacus, Beans and Cups, Sticks and bands, Place Value Blocks, lace Value Abacus, and Place Value house we had to bundle these different maths equipment to bundle into random numbers.

M.A.I.N Causes

LI: to learn about the M.A.I.N causes of World War 1. 

Today for inquiry we learned about the main causes of world war 1 and how it started we all learnt about the M.A.I.N Causes M stands for Militarism, A stands for Alliances, I stands for Imperialism, and finally N stands for Nationalism. and we had to work with our partners and we had to watch three different videos so that we can have a good understanding of what caused World War 1.

Kiwi Sports Boxing

Today for kiwi sports LS1 is learning how to box we had to make line and go up the the hall where Pacs was she is our coach  first she told us the 3 commandments of boxing number 1 respect we have to respect our coach and the equipment that we use during boxing 2 rule is discipline and 3rd was safety we all had to follow these 3 commandments at all boxing sessions.

So first we had a warm up game the first game was called knee/shoulder tag so we had to get into partners to be able to play this game I partnered up with Hosea the objective of this game is the only tag our partners knees and then if they got tagged then they will have to do 1 burpie and it is they same for yourself as well.

After that we had a break and then we played one more warm up game put we still had stay in our partners the game was called shoulder tag the rules were the same as knee tag if we are tagged on our shoulders then we do one burpie.

Finally we had a break then after that we had to try and out on a pear of boxing gloves as fast as we can put there was something we needed to put on first they are liners the help make the sweat of our hands not touch the boxing glove then Pacs told us how to pose during boxing she taught us how to do the rock pose first we need spread our legs apart but not to far then we have to then put our right leg back and then we have to bend our knees slightly.

then we had to learn how to jab by using our left arm and we had to punch with all our might and then we learned how to do a cross punch we have to use our right arm and then use our heels on our feet to then poush of as if we were sprinting then we could punch

WW1 Timeline





















To learn about the causes, conflict, and resolution to World War 1 (WWI).
Today for inquiry we learnt about WW1 we had to find a partner and we had to go on this slide and we have to find different facts about what some are the thing that are listed in the vocabulary and then we have to find a definition of what it is and we also had to find a image as well.

and then we had to make a timeline and we have to make a time line towards world war 1 and we have to find the years and the months and we also have to sort out the boxes with all info so that the are in the correct order

bundling


LI: to bundle groups of sticks.
Today for maths we had to learn how to bundle stick in different groups for example I had to find 45 sticks and i had to bundle them into bundles of 2, 3, 5, and 10 and i had to do the same thing but with a bigger number like 100 and 114  





Text Types

LI: to recap structure and language that we have written before.
today for writing we learnt how to find different writing structures in procedures, explanation, and recounts we had to find different writing structures and we also had to write what that word means with a reason and we also had to point out where those structures are in the story.

Reading Setting Description

LI: attached to comprehension tasks.

Today for reading I had to read a book that was called do not push and i had to make a Setting Description about the book that I read about and I had to Describe a Setting in the book that I was reading and I had to write in paragraphs about the book and the Setting i could also use the four senses hear, smell, see, and feel. To make my Setting Description more detailed
and I also had to create an image of what we visualized in the Setting.

Maori

today or Maori we learnt the story of Rangi and papa and we heard the story and we saw some one telling the story by doing sand art.

the story is about in the beginning  this book is about when Papa and Rangi were together then their kids decided to move them a part because they were angry living in a dark place on their parents stomach so then so spead then apart then Rangi was was crying rain

Smart Media {Co-Co Crunch}

Today this week for Cybersmart we learnt about smart media and what it is and then we had to play a game and make up our own cereal box on a game and then we had to point out the five gimmicks that were provided on the game and we had to give a short explanation about what they are.

Kiwi Can


This week for kiwi can we have a new theme it is respect and our new topic is respect for our school and this term we have a new kiwi can leader Mr. Matt and Ms. Page first when we got into the room Mr. Matt told us the meaning of Respect it means treaty some one or something, a place with respect.

and then we had our energizer the game was called Rules Vs no Rules the objective of this game is to play a simple game without any rules and play another game with rules. and then we had a small break then moved on to the activity it was called Role play he had to get into small groups and we had to choose a subject that we could all act out as a hole group.
