Theme: Positive relationships - Fairness and fairplay

Energiser: Up and Down

This week for kiwi can we are learning to have positive communication. Positive Communication when you are complementing people, saying nice things, and also giving positive feedback. Mr M Choose Carlos and we had to star saying positive thing to cheer him up.

Then we had our energizer called up and down. The main objective of the game was to flip all the cone's up, if you were on the other team you had to turn all the cones down. We played our last game witch was called street fighter were you had to do certain actions to number that are called out, for example if Mr M called out 1 then we had to punch. 2 is punch twice, 3 is kick, 4 is uppercunt and 5 is hadouken.

For Kiwi Can Our  theme for kiwi can is positive Relationship. Our Topic for kiwi can is Give it a go. We had to use the 5 sense. I said give it a go means trying things your afraid of. LS2 play two games in kiwi can with a extra game. The games were called Push up challenge,1 v 1  and Road stop. My Favorited game I played in kiwi can was the push up challenge. I learned in kiwi can that give it a go means trying new things and never  give up.

LI: To include and engage others by being sensitive to their feelings

This week we had our first ever session of kiwi can. This term our theme is Positive Relationships, and our topic was Empathy.

Empathy means being understandable and being enthusiastic. Courtesy means being kind and respectful to others. Ways of being empathetic is showing an act of kindness with people. Ways of being Courteous are being respectful and helpful to others. 

The activity and energiser was changing places and role play. For the changing places we had gotten into a circle, mrs grace would call out things that we like or have done and we have to switch places in the circle as fast as possible. Our activity was called role play.

Term 1 Kiwi Can Overview

LI: To recap everything we did in Kiwi Can.

Today in Kiwi Can we repeated all of our learning from term 1. Our big theme was Positive Relation Ships Our three modules were: Positive Communication, Friendship, and Cooperation.

We made three groups. Each group talked about the 5 Ws and the H for 1 module. After we talked as a group, each group shared their ideas back to the class.

The one thing I enjoyed of Kiwi Can this term was about the games that we played and my favorite game that we played in kiwi can was called code breaker. one thing that I learnt was when we learn about positive communication. one thing that I should be better at is positive relation ships by communicating ideas to friends or family.

Today in kiwi can we were learning about friendship. we learnt that there are times we can say No ! we talked about situation were it is ok to say No ! we discussed different ways to no that don't cause disrespect. We did a activity called empathy rote play. A group acted out a situation and asa class we needed to decide the way to say No !

LI: to have a good friendship

Today at kiwi can we had a new topic and it was friendship. and we learnt about what makes a good friendship that means you have a close friend that you can trust. and we also learnt about good secrets and bad secrets that you can or can not tell and we learnt that by playing a game called secret cards we all got a card and it had a secret that was good or bad and we had to choose if it was a good or bad secret.

Learning Intention: To Cooperate and work as a team and to have a Positive Relationship

Today at Kiwi Can our theme is positive relationships and the topic is Corporation. A new skill that I learnt today at kiwi can was that we can cooperate with classmates to also have a positive relationship as well and so that we can work as a team. I learnt how to cooperate and have a positive relationship was by playing a game that will make us have a strong positive relationship so the game that I played was called code breaker the objective of that game was to try and unlock or figure out what the code is with our team there were two different teams that had to also crack the code as well the main point of this game to work as a team and also to remember the code.  So the thing that we used to use a pin pad was hula-hoops we had to step in the write one to unlock the code so if the kiwi leader said it was wrong than it was the next team turn to try and if he says that the code is write than that means we win the game.

Today in kiwi can we learnt about how to cooperate with our class. We then had a energizer to play the objective of the game was to to everything opposite that Ms Mack was saying so for example if she said take one step in then we take one step back or if she said put your left arm up then we put your right arm up. and then we sat down and talked about what we think cooperation means or what other people think it might mean. than we played an activity called command & conquer so we got into four teams with 5 to 6 people in the four teams and there was one leader and they had to get instructions and tell there team what to do and the team you can finish that first wins

Today for kiwi can we learnt how to communicate to each other we could do that by body language like hand sighs and we were going to put that to use by playing hand socer we had to comunicate so that we know when to roll the ball and when to catch the ball and we also played a game called fruit salad we had to listen carefully because every time the kiwi can leader says a type of fruit then we have the move a body part or do a dance move.

Today for kiwi can we learnt about how to have a positive relationship and communication that means sharing positive ideas or sharing how you feel right now and positive relationship means that you have to never leave anyone out. After learning all about what it means to have a  positive relationship and positive communication we then got into our energizer we had to listen the the kiwi can leader if we did't then we wold not know how to play the game we also had to listen so that we could practice our active listing 

After that we then played a game called Chop suey salute we also had to listen so that we would know how to play the game and so the we can get some more practice about active listing the game was really we then had to choose a master for the game the master of chop suey salute was Vayan then we went back to class.

Today was LS1 first time back at kiwi can and we had one to leader for kiwi can and his name was Mr Alapatia and Mrs page they both helped us on the first day back at kiwi can. So after they both introduced them self's we then had our energizer it was called eyes up eyes down the objective of the game was to listen carefully so when Mr Alapatia say eyes up then we have to look at someone who is around the Circe and if he says eyes down then we have to  they make eye contact with you than it mean that you lost the game was really fun.

Than we got make and sat on the mat and we had to think of some rules that we could use in kiwi Can and some of them were to listen to each other to hear there ideas and so that we can learn more about the people in the class and so that we can all be friends.

Today for kiwi can Mr Matt and Mrs lily were with us. first up for kiwi can we had our energizer to start with we played a game were we all got into a circle and then the teacher would come around and say tiger! then we wold have to say tiger roar. or buffalo then we respond buffalo buffalo who who who. we all had lot's of fun playing but then we had our lesson it was about giving it a try we had lot's of answers from Ls1 then we had our activity it was called clap jump the teacher has to pick three taggers and the teacher must  clap and we have to jump and the taggers must try to get everyone out but they can only tag us by jumping when the teacher claps.
