Elements to a Quality Blog Post

 LI: To show others the main elements of createing a quality blog post

For this Cybersmart  task we have learnt how to Quality Blog post. The main elements of a quality blog post is a Clear title meaning that people know straight away what the post is about and also a blurb the describes what you have learnt about with correct punctuation, spelling, and word use. And lastly is you labels when adding labels make sure that you stick to one or two labels instead of a long list of labels that do not need to be add an or off topic. There are many other elements to a quality blog post but these three that I have explained and talked about are the most important  that you should focus on to create a quality blog post.

I really enjoyed talking about the elements of the quality blog post becuase it was fun to help others and tell others about elements of a quality blog post.

Tidy Drive

 LI: To have a clean tidy drive

Today for cybersmart we learnt about having tidy drives by sorting presentations and documents into folders. When sorting out a drive we must name things correctly and having systems for storing things. For this activity we had to sort out out the files that are in the presentation into the correct folder we then had to sort out the instructions for filing a file properly and then taking a screenshot of our clean tidy drives.

I really enjoyed this activity becuase it was good to learn about how we should name and file things correctly.

Keeping Cyber smart

LI: to give helpful tips to people who are new with Chromebooks.

Being cyber smart is very important witch means we should be able to keep being cyber smart with tips and shortcuts to complete work efficiently and so it is done faster. This DLO is show casing some tips and shortcuts that can be useful when doing work or typing. Shortcuts are commands that do certain things when you use certain keys to help make things easier to use. 

I found this activity really fun to do becuase It was fun to show and teach others tips and shortcuts that you can use with your keybarod.

Polynesian Navigators/Cybersmart

LI: To find out what gourds are used for.

This week for inquiry we are learning about Polynesian navigators. And find out what Polynesian navigators use gourds for. Gourds are a type of pumpkin and are fond in the US or mexico, Polynesian navigators used them to store rain water, they hollowed out the the gourd and they washed it, when they went on long voyages they would usually use a gourd to collect rain water and to keep it a cool they keep it in a wooden cage and dragged it around with them when the voyaged. To keep the gourd closed the cut of the top and used a string to keep it closed.

in the present day people use gourds for jewelry, Furniture, dishes, utensils, and decoration. People cut out a piece of the gourd and shape it then the they carve designs into the gourd and they then fill it in with something that is colorful and attach it to a string to create a necklace.

And we used our smart searching skills to find all the information we know now about gourds. we used key words or phrases to help find this information and we also used select or reject we had to choose the most important information to get a better under standing of the learning. 

Cyber smart

LI: to use the three different ways to find legal images.
We got into partners and we had to make a movie the teaches the watcher one way to find legal images and give an explanation of what a legal image is.

LI: to understand the legal use of images

We are learning how to find legal images to use. and we ha to get into groups of 4 and we had to read everything on the slide that talked about how to find legal images we had to read to three different ways. the first one is the slow way, the second is the faster way and the last way is called the very speedy way.

After that we then had to come up with a group name your one was Legacy and we had to get as many points and your teacher had to ask use questions and we had to answer and try to remember what we read. we then had to make a Poster and we had to use one of the three ways to find legal images to use for our poster and we had t to then write what we learnt about finding legal images.

Keywords

LI: To use keywords for better searching.

we had to learn how to use keywords for research and we were researching about komodo dragons and we had three questions were do komodo dragons come from, what do komodo dragons eat, and how long can komodo dragons live we had to find information about those three questions using keywords to find useful information and then we had to highlight the keyword of the text.

LI: To give credit and attribute images 

Attribution is when you give credit to someones work like a photo We have all learnt as a class what copyright and what fair use is we have to give credit to the owner you can buy the piece of work if it is necessary. Fair use is getting permission to use that piece of work and you can use the owners work but only some of it.

How we attribute:

1. find the photo you wants
2. make a link that goes to where you found the image
3. after that you them make a link that links to the owner profile
4. then you make a link that goes to you licence for the image
