Tech reflection Wood Works

 LI: To learn how to create a joint

Today was the first day back at tech. This year the year eights learnt about hard materials with Mr Grundy. Mr Grundy taught us about how to create a joint with wooden blocks a joint is created when a piece of wood is cut half way down and another piece of wood in then slotted into the first piece of wood. Mr Grundy also showed us some of his previous crafts or projects so that we could get some ideas of what we could start making. Once he was finished we were told to write down eight blue prints that included the joint we were also able to create our own blue prints for what we wanted to make but it had to include the joint.

I found this activity fun becuase it was fun to learn about wood works becuase it was the first time that I had learnt about this and I found it really interesting to learn about.
