I had to write down things about the book that i read i had to list things that they book is about and what the main topic is about. and i had to write who wrote the book and illustrated it. the book that i read about was about who plants and animals adapt and you they act and there animal life cycle.

We learnt about advertisement and who they persuade you to buy there product we had to answer the questions like you could this product be for or who does there product grab the readers attention. we had lot's of photos that were selling something we had to find out what it was and write what there slogan is, Write what message they are trying to say about the product from the photo.

Water Safety
LI: To learn to stay safe in the water.
first when we got into the water we had a warm up exerciser we did stream lines from one platform and to the other platform and then we had to swim 30 meters to the wall with out standing up and we had to do the same thing but have to go under the water. After that we had to try and push of and so that when we swim it will be easier to swim back to the plat form and we did the same thing by pushing but on our backs.

Pulley
LI: To learn what a pulley does.
We learnt about the pulley witch is a simple machine that is used to pull things together or left up heavy things you do that by pulling a piece of string. To learn more about the pulley we did an activity we got two sticks and tied a rope on one of them and looped it around the other and kept going and then we had to pull and when we did that it would bring the sticks together.

Measuring
LI: To Understand what Area and Perimeter is.
We had to measure the 5 shapes that are on the piece of paper we had to measure the perimeter and the area with multiplication and addition. Perimeter is the outline or boarder of the shape, and area is the space that covers the shape, when you measure the perimeter you have to measure each side and plus it all together and when you measure area you have to use times tables to measure it.
After that we had to find three objects in the class room and we had to measure the area and the perimeter and we had to put it on a poster.

LI: To focus more ( Not get distracted ).
We learned how to not get distracted. Distracted means to fall our of focus. Many things can distract us like talking or physically annoying each other. To learn about distraction we played a game called distraction circle it was where we had to try and focus on what one person is doing and try not to get distracted by the other people surrounding you and are trying to distract you. the people around you did something different to distract you two of them had to tell a story and sing a song and the person in front of them had to give them some actions and they had to focus and copy the actions without getting distracted. and the person at the back of them had to draw numbers with there fingers on the persons back.

Ihumatao
LI: To identify the main idea in a text.
we were learning about the Ihumatao event and this slide was about who's side we were on we had to say witch side and why we think that and give a reason why we choose that side. i think that the Maori should take there land back because it is special to them and it is sacred and i think that the land should not be used for housing and people also want the prime minister to get involved to see if they can take or not.
Swimming
Your warm up activity was stream lines we had to do stream lines back and forth from the pool. we then learnt about how to signal people when we are drowning you have to put a fist up and shout for help and then we learnt how to rescue people when the are drowning. we had to try and pull up the person with a pool noodle when they are drowning.
We then had sticks that sink to the bottom of the pool and then we had to try and get all of them by going all the way under the pool to touch the pool floor we then did duck diving it is where we have to grab all of the toys that sunk to the bottom and not touch the floor so you had to grab them and come back up with out touching the floor.

we had to make your shapes and had to write what the perimeter was and the area but we saw that how we changed the shapes when we did that we found out the the perimeter always changes and the area always stay's the same when you change the shape.

Kiwi Can
We learnt about how we have to control our self and self discipline our self by making the right choice. your first activity was called head, shoulder, knees, and toes so we had to get into a partner and get into a squat position and when he said toes then we had to try and get the cone before the other person then we did role plays about when we should make the right choice and be self discipline.

Print Design Rules
LI: To Identify the four main areas of print design rules.
The four main parts of the print design rules are Composition, Text, Color, and Layout. Layout is where you put all of your information and images, color is where we have to use colors that are easy to see so that they can read your text, text when you write information down then you should keep it all one font so it all looks the same. last is Composition is where you put your text and title and images on your poster. We then had a task it was to sort out all of the posters into one of the four areas and had to see if this was good or bad.

The Lion King
We went to a lion king performance from ormiston junior collage. the performance was based on the real life movie of the lion king. we went to the performance because we have been doing plays and acting as well.

Swimming
LI: Kick using our muscle in our leg.
we did stream lines and we had to have a straight body when we swim and we had to have our arms behind our ears and face down. Then we used the paddling board to help us with our kicking in the water and we had to have our face in the water. then we swam with the board facing up because it makes us go slower and then we had to swim with our stomach touching the floor of the pool and try and get as far as I can.

LI: To Understand who Rube Goldberg is.
In our group of 6 we had to find out who rube Goldberg is using the 5 Ws and the H. Rube Goldberg was a prize winning cartoonist and made machines that could do tasks and we had to find facts about who he is, when he was born, and what he did for a living, and we had to write down information about all of those kind of things.
We made a machine our of our bodies and and it was based on Rube Goldberg machines. We had to use different movements so that we could open the door with different movements and we had to do it with a blindfold on and try and open the door.

We made nets we made them so that we could make 3D shapes the nets were made out of paper and we made a cube and a square based pyramid. we had to rule out the lines and we had to add some tabs so that when we folded the shape all together it would make the shape.

Kiwi Can
At kiwi Can we got a card that had an emotion or a felling and we had to find another person that had an emotion that is the same like the one we are holding we then sorted them in order. And then we talked about why we should not keep your emotions to yourself and so if we did keep all of our emotions then it would keep building up but if we share and tell people how we fell. Then talked about how our emotions can effect other people. We then did role plays of different emotions and how we might fell in different situations.

This week for kiwi can we were looking at emotions. when we had out activity we had to act something out and we have to also act our some different emotions so for my group we had to act like we were on a roller coaster and some of the people had to act happy or scared because when people go on roller coasters they can be enjoying it or are felling sad.

breathe.We went to the deep side.When we go in we have to go in and then

we had to write what we know about Ihumātao it is a protest they are protesting because company named fetchers wants to build over there land and they want them to stop because it is historical. so first we had to write what we know about this and using the 5 Ws we then had to figure our how far it would take to go there from our school by Bus, car, cycling, and walking. we had to find out the length and how long it would take to get from the from our school. after that we had to write what we thought some of the words mean then we had to write about people and how they relate to this land. and last of all we had to some words and we had to write out the meaning.
