Poetry/Diamante

LI: To Write a poem about Felling
Today we learnt how to make a Diamante poem. A Diamante poem is when you have to topic at the bottom and the top and for each line you have to put in a different word like on the 2 line you have to write to adjectives. and on line 3 you have to write three words that end with ing and on the 4 line you have to write a noun about your topic.

Duffy Assembly/Robbie Rakete

Today we had a Duffy Assembly. And we had a visitor his Name is Robbie Rakete. he is on a radio station called the breeze, he is also the brown wiggle from the show called the wiggles and he even has a song that he sings on the wiggles called Have a good day Kia Pai To Ra, he also stared in the movie called Dancing with the stars. And he said while he was at our school he said that we can do anything by reading. and its fun to read and he can do anything.

Today I did a Can do and I made a Flip Grid Video of me saying a tongue twister.

Music/Ukulele/Chords and Notes/Xylophone

LI: to play Ukulele and Xylophone


Today in Music we learnt how to play C, F, G, and A chords on a xylophone or a ukulele and we played the song 1 call away and count on me. and we had to use the different instruments to play the song. And I also learnt how to play shotgun on a xylophone and we also had to listen carefully of how to play the whole song on the instruments. I learnt how to play on a Ukulele and on a xylophone and it was really fun to learn a new skill.

Writing/Imaginative Recount/Little Red Riding Hood


LI: To write an imaginative recount

Today in Writing I learnt how to write an imaginative recount from a character point of view from the story. We had to write a: Title, Reveal, Events, And Ending and that is the Structure of T. R. E. E. and we had to write the story about the little red riding hoods perspective or the wolfs point of view and we had to write about what they could see or what they were doing in the story.

Term 1 Kiwi Can Overview


LI: To recap everything we did in Kiwi Can.

Today in Kiwi Can we repeated all of our learning from term 1. Our big theme was Positive Relation Ships Our three modules were: Positive Communication, Friendship, and Cooperation.

We made three groups. Each group talked about the 5 Ws and the H for 1 module. After we talked as a group, each group shared their ideas back to the class.

The one thing I enjoyed of Kiwi Can this term was about the games that we played and my favorite game that we played in kiwi can was called code breaker. one thing that I learnt was when we learn about positive communication. one thing that I should be better at is positive relation ships by communicating ideas to friends or family.

Today in Reading we made a info graphic but with a different artifact and a diferent person to research. The Item that I got was a newspaper and it was about Henry Edmund Stratford and the news paper was about him. and back in the olden days family members would always read to news paper to keep updated but the only problem was that the news paper they got was days or weeks old. And I and to research about Henry Stratford about things like were he died or what conflicts that he was involved in.

Prodigy is a fun way for use to learn: Subtraction, Addition, Multiplication, and Division. And more like how many vertices on a square or How a graph works or Learning Times Tables.

SSR Selfie

LI: To retell a story that we have read

Today I was doing SSR selfie and I read a book called Smile. and I had to retell the story that I have been reading it is about a girl who wears braces has a race with her friend and falls during the race and her two top front teeth have been pushed up and she is then really nervous of what happened during the race

Today I Commented on Sione T blog post and his blog post was about when he collected data from diferent people around that school and then once he gathered the data he said that he had cleaned it.

Kiwi sport

LI: to learn how to play Ki o Rahi

Today for Kiwi Sport we learnt how to play the game ki o Rahi first we all got into to teams and we had to wear rippa tags to play the game and we also had to use the ki and then we started playing the game. and we had a kicker to start the game and they had to kick it into Pawero, and if they do not catch it or not kick properly it is a handover and the taniwha team had to try score by throwing the Ki at the tupu, and to stop that the kaitiaki has to make sure the ki does not touch the tupu. If the Kaitiaki catches the Ki then they throw it out to their team members the kioma team out in Te Au. Kiome scores trys by touching as many Po and they have to try not get ripped by the taniwha team when they touch the po and to score in pawero. We had gotten separated into two teams, one team is the red team and the other is the blue team. The red team won 11 to 6

Poetry

LI:To identify purposes for poems. To identify characteristics of poems.

Poetry is a text for communicating ideas and expressing how you fell to people. Poetry can have types of sound patterns they are rhyme and rhythm
Rhyming is when a repeating sound in words, there are four kinds of rhyme they are: assonants, End rhyme, consonants, and Alliteration.

We could learn all of this by doing a activity to highlight poems to see what kind of rhyme it has out of the four that I have learnt about so that would mean if one poem as alliteration then we have to highlight were all of the alliteration is.

  • Consonants rhyme is when a letter sound is repeated
  • End rhyme is when only part of a word rhymes with another word
  • Assonants rhyme is when a vowel sound is repeated in a poem
  • alliteration rhyme is when a sound is repeated

Today I had to  learn my basic facts so that we remember them we had to do the addition and subtraction box and we had to do all of them on this google sheet  basic facts

Music

Kiwi Can

L.I To build positive relationships .
Today in kiwi can we were learning about friendship. we learnt that there are times we can say No ! we talked about situation were it is ok to say No ! we discussed different ways to no that don't cause disrespect. We did a activity called empathy rote play. A group acted out a situation and asa class we needed to decide the way to say No ! 
Our options were.

let do something else instead
, It just not my thing, 
that not and nice thing to do.

Today for maths we had to use the snag golf equipment to see how far the ball will go and we had to collect all the data and turn it into a graph and we also had to make sentences about how far the balls went using new words that we have learnt in maths.

Imaginary recount/Little red riding hood/T.R.E.E



LI: To write an imaginary recount 

Today for Writing we learnt how to write an imaginary recount from one characters perspective in the story. we had to choose a character from the story little red riding hood and we choose her and we had to write a recount about. perspective means that you are writing about what someone is seeing from there point of view. and we had to use tree to write our recount and. and we could also think of new title ideas so that our imaginary recount title can be more interesting.
