Kiwi sport

today we had kiwi sport with Allison she taught us how to hold a bat we had to have shoulder with apart with our legs and she threw the ball at us then we had to hit it and run to all of the bases and come back to home base if we did't do it fast enough we were out then we had lots of rounds until we all got it then we had played an activity. Allison has to close her eyes and we all had to go to one of the bases and we had to keep quite so she dose't pick us if she did we were out.

Minute to win it Activity

LI: to learn what new things we can do in a minute.
today for inquiry me and my group had lots more of activity's to try out the first activity was called magic carpet ride then we did bit dicey then we did clipper then our last activity was called speed eraser then we were finished.

Today for maths we did maths actions. I learned how to Divide. it is when you split something in half with another person so adding is when you add a number to a other number and it will make a higher number, Subtract is when you take away a number from a number. and i also learned multiply is when you count in the same number.

today we had to sort out our drive and make sure that it is clean we had to put our Kiwi can and Kiwi sport folders into our writing folder and we had to put our this vs that folder into our inquiry folder and and we had to just leave our 2017 stuff in our drive.

Duffy assembly

Today Taylor Hodson Tomokino and Matt Johnson came to our school and told us about some of there achievements Taylor told us some of her achievements they were she was a BMX rider and she got to go all around the world and and her highest was second place then we heard from Matt his achievements were he is a rugby league player and he plays for the blues and he played for the Melbourne storms and then Taylor came to our calls and we got to ask her some more questions and then our teacher told Taylor if she waked minute to  win it and then our teacher said if she wants to do one of our challenges she done office dominoes and then we timed her for one minute and she lost but we still cheered her on.   

Cybersmart

for cybersmart we had to learn about our device skills and when to use them we had to write about what all of our skills are on our chrome book and we had learned a lot.

Kiwi sport

Today for kiwi sport we had ash she thought us how to throw in a L shape and then we had a game of base ball there were fielders and batters then we swamped lots of times so we can get use to it and so we can learn how to throw properly then we had to swap fielders had to do bating and batters have to fielders.

Team motto

LI: To make a motto for your team by using examples of different mottos. 
Today I had to work with my group to find our own motto for our emblem. We had to look at different mottos to see how mottos work. We used Bank mottos, Food Mottos, and Shop mottos. We all looked at our emblem and made our motto share it with the world because we all made our talents on our emblem so we could share our talents with everyone.TNS

Our team motto is (Share it with the world)

This relates to our team and what our talent is. It is about our knowledge and what we do as a team. We combined our thoughts and put it together as a group. We put all our talents together in the circles that has the colours of our country and called it share it with the world so everyone can see our talents.

Cricket

On Wednesday we all went on the bus to go Varsity Grounds when we got there we all split into groups there were groups for year 5 year 6 and year 7/8 i was in the year five group in our team we had a group of nine they were Fau, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Hosea, Juel, Chris  and Lorenzo or first team we battled was point England first round of cricket PBS lost and point England won. Then after point England we vs Tamaki Primary we batted first for the first round we lost at batting then we had a go at bowling and then we lost again but didn't care. But then our Captain said that we have a long break we had a one hour reak to eat and play and go toilet  and then after that our leader game and she said we were going to vs Stone Field first we were bowling but we lost then we batted and we lost as well then it was time to go back our team lost but we all enjoyed and had fun.

Today for  writing we learned about figurative language these are some of the forms of figurative language personification alliteration idiom simile metaphor we had to watch a video and then we had to color code all of the forms of figurative language and then we had to write about what was happening in the video using figurative language.

Today for reading we read a book and we had to write down all of the Nouns,Verbs,Adjective and Adverb. nouns are word used for names for example it is a name for a person place of thing verb are doing or action word like running or eating adjective or describing word and adverbs are used for describing a verb for example i was running fastly or i was eating slowly.

Today i done ssr selfie this is were we have to read a book independently for 15 minutes and after that we can write about what happened in the story my book was  called when did you see her last this is about a girl who goes missing but that is all i read so far but it looks very interesting

I learned about… Today i learnt about when you are batting your knuckles has to be a lined and the bat on your shoulders and elbow and legs apart and legs apart and when your fielding you did to still and when they hit two balls you have to go and get and throw the ball to other person and put the ball we the cones were.

I learned by … I learned by looking at the ball and hitting it and fielding is pretty hard because you tried to get the ball and they hit it very hard then you have to run to get the ball then when you get the ball and by the time your there that person will be passed the home base.

Today for reading we learned about keywords and how and when to use them we read a book and we had to write down the key words this book was about coconut crabs we read it and learn the keywords

LI: To create an emblem that relates to our group. Today for inquiry we had to get into groups of 5. In those groups of 5 we had to watch a video about the Pyeongchang emblem and what is means. So our emblem represents the things we like to do and the colors of our circles is the color of our country. Red = Tonga, Blue = Samoa, Yellow = Niue. We had to see the example from the Pyeongchang emblem video. We all thought to do the things we like and our countries colors. We all have something in common. We all love Music, Learning, and Sports. I learnt that if you make a emblem it always has a story behind it like a reason.

Kiwi Can

 LI: learn to become a leader. Today for Kiwi Can we started of with a energizer we played rook paper scissors w was called e got into pairs of two and we had one round of rook paper scissors and if we win the loser has to hold onto the winners shoulders and all of the pairs had to do that and we had to comet with other partners and all of the people had to go to the back and hold onto the winners shoulders until there is a champion then we had our lesson was about leadership and what a leader is and how to become one after that we had an activity it was called charades the Kiwi Can leaders had to give us something to act out and if we get it right we win.     

Reading

LI: to identify keywords

for reading we had to write down keywords about the book we read it was called flipper ball this is a type of sport that you play in the water in a pool this looks like a very fun game you need a team of seven. and a those ball s that you use for volleyball

maths

for maths we done Subtraction and we had to only use our fingers. this is how subtract with my fingers so i start with no fingers at all and if its 8-4 then i count on from and until i have four fingers.

writing

for writing we learned about structure langue there is first person past tense verb and vocabulary we all learned about it and we had to write a imaginary recount and we had to comment on the words that were first person past tense and vocabulary word first person are the word he/she/I we had to comment on those words and comment saying first person.

Today for Kiwi Sport learned new skills and how to pitch first we had a warm up game we got into two groups of 8 one of the groups had to go to second base  and the other group went to home base we all got into a line boy girl boy girl. there was home base second base and third base we had to run and touch all of the bases second base and third base but we have to touch it with our feet. then we learned a new skill we all got into partners and we got a soft ball per partner we got into a l and a k and but our foot on the ground and throw it.
