Place value is a units house there is a ten’s column one column and hundreds column
if 2 goes into the  hundreds column it’s worth 200 if you put zero in the ten’s column then it’s worth nothing ten’s if you put nine into the ones column it’s worth nine ones then it’s all worth 209.
