Kiwi Sport

LI: to learn the forehand and backhand grip technique 

We started a new sport it is tennis. and you new coach was called Peter and he told us the horehand and back hand technique. but the first thing we did was get into partners  and we had two tennis balls and we had to drop them and the other persons hand had to face down and then when the balls group they have to catch them in there hands.

and then we all went to an area and grabbed a tennis racket and we had to wait behind the person in front of us and then we had to go in front and then we had to use our right or left hand and we had to then try and hit the ball while the other person throws that balls at you. and then we learnt the different grips and then we had to hit the ball back and forth to the other person.


LEGAL and ILLEGAL


LI  to understand what legal and illegal images
for cyber smart we were learning about legal and illegal images. we had to write the definition of a legal and illegal image on the slide then we had to find three websites that have free photos to use and websites that have illegal images that you cannot use because you have to pay for it to be able to download it.

and then we had to take screenshots of the websites we got the photos from and then circle where it says you can use it and or where you cannot use it.

Moari

LI: to learn basic words in Te reo

today for Maori we had to get back into our group from last week and we had to sit down with our teacher and she told us new words and we learning about brothers and sisters and when she asked us how many younger, older brother or sisters we have in Te reo we had to say a number of how many we have. we then had a task to complete we had to find places in new Zealand and other countries and we had to find the Maori name for it so we had to translate the English name into Maori.
Tenia - Younger
Tuakara - Older
Tungane - Brother
Tuahine - Sister


Kiwi Can

LI: to Respect each other

In kiwi can today we had to get into groups of five. And there was one leader and the leader had to tell the rest of the group what to do and the rest of the group had to follow the instructions given. and then after that we sat in a circle and we had to talk about our strengths and weakness things that we think we are good at and things we are bad at. we had to share them in a little group then share with the whole class what er are good and bad at doing. and the last thing we did was the human knot. we got into a circle and we had to make a knot with our hands and we had to work together and untangle the knot.

 LI: To Remember Basic Maths Facts 

This slide called basic facts help us to learn our basic facts and helps us with: Addition, Subtraction, multiplication, and Division. this is a google sheet that helps us learn our basic facts by doing challenges with our basic facts.

SSR Selfie

The book that i read was Matilda from Roald Dahl the book was about a little girl called Matilda and about how her parents treat her badly and. her family watches TV and goes to lotto or sell cars and they ignore there own daughter and they punishes there daughter because she reads books and Matilda want to get them back.

Inquiry

LI: to sort out goods and services.

In our group we got a pile of company logos and we had to sort out all of the logos. for example put all of the food companies together and we had to sort out all of them and. after that we had to go see the other half of our group and see what they did differently to us and we had to also make a poster about the companies we sorted out.  and we had to then sort them  out into services and goods.

LI Build knowledge of vocabulary, and links words create to the wider world

we are reading Roald Dahl books for this term in reading and we had to make your own custom book marks for our books. we had to choose a book that we were going to read I choose Matilda. and on your book marks we had to write what you have to do to become a great reader or some reading skills we have learnt in reading

Tally chart & Steam and leaf graph

LI: to  make a graph

In maths today we had to make a steam and leaf and graph and also at the same time we had to also do a tally chart at the same time. the numbers we got were random because we were using and 20 sided die. and for the tally chart we had to four rows for numbers 1-5 the second column are for number between 6 and 10 and the third one is for numbers between 11 and 15 and the last one is 16 - 20 and every time we got a number between 1 and 5 than we have to do a tally in the row. and after we had to sort out all of the numbers from the steam and leaf graph.

LI: to learn about Te reo Maori

We learnt many ways to great our family in Te reo, we watched two videos about how to greet your family in Maori your Te reo told us how to say who is your mother, father, grandpa, grandma, and friends.  and we had to use those sentence we learnt to write down the family member in the simpson family tree.

Kiwi can

LI: to work together as a team

We got split up into 2 groups. after that we had to choose witch thing is better the first to options were spaghetti or baked beans we had to choose a side and give a reason why we think it is the best option. the next  two options were singing or dancing and we choose and side and told every one why we think it is better or the best and the last on was reading or writing. we then split up in to the two groups.

After that we were told that we were team might and the other team was team wisdom so in the might team we did physical activities to do with our bodies we did four activities we got into pairs and we had to sit down back to back and cross our arms over and then try and stand up together. and then once we did that we had to all sit inside of a circle and we had to all face outwards and we had to try and stand up all together at the same time.

After we finished those two activities we had 2 more do finish the next activity was the human pyramid and we had to get int a group of 6 and we had to put the tree strongest and the bottom as a strong base and than to light people on tome and then one more at the very top and then we moved on to the next activity. We all got into a circle and we had to all face in front of the back of the person in front of us and then we all sit down on the persons leg at the back of us and the person in front of us has to  sit on our legs. while we were doing our activity the other group were solving riddles and had brain teasers.

LI: to learn Maori words.

Today for Maori we had to fill out a sheet that had words in Te reo and we had to find the detention of the word and use a image to show what that word means and also use the word in a sentence. After that we had another sheet and we had to to write what we think the god is so we had to look and the word written in Te reo and try and guess witch god it is.



Kiwi Can

LI: to show respect.

We had to new kiwi can leaders. And we went into your energizer and it was called tutti fruity and this was a listening game and we had to listen to the instructions said by the two leaders. we got into a circle and when he said apple we all jump forward, And if he said orange then we jump backwards, And if he said banana then we turn around to face the back. and we had to follow the instructions and if we do the wrong thing then we are out of the game. and then we all came and sat on the mat and we talked about your new theme respect and we had to talk about who and what we should respect and we then talked about how we can respect our self.

after that we played an activity and it's called 1 lie and 1 truth the kiwi can leaders told us a statement and we had to find out witch one was true by going on one side of the room to vote witch statement we think is true.
